Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2003 – Poll your co-workers with Voting Buttons

in Outlook

Have you ever wanted to send out a survey to your co-workers to gather information? The voting buttons feature in Outlook can do just that, when used with an Exchange Server. This feature is also in earlier versions of Outlook as well.

An additional bonus is that you don't have to use typical Yes, No, Maybe buttons. You can create custom buttons as well. Imagine you're in charge of your company picnic and you need to take orders for the food that the company will be providing. You would create buttons such as Beef, Chicken, Veggie and send them in an email to poll your co-workers. They reply with a click of a button and you have a tracking tab to tally the votes and place the food order. What could normally be a cumbersome and time-consuming chore is made quite simple by using voting buttons. If you're the one tasked with this job, you're now a whole lot more productive. Thanks Outlook!
